About Stockholm
Stockholm is the capital of Sweden as well as the largest urban area in the Nordic countries. The city stretches across fourteen islands where Lake Mälaren flows into the Baltic Sea. Stockholm is a modern hub for tech, fashion, music, film, design, gaming, and food. A city offering exciting flavors and unique experiences.

Taxi
There are many taxi companies to choose from in Stockholm, as well as international companies like Bolt and Uber. Approved taxis with metered fares always bear yellow number plates. Credit cards are readily accepted.
WARNING: Taxi prices are not regulated in Sweden; they may vary greatly. It is the customer’s responsibility to check prices beforehand. Check the price on the yellow-and-white label, which is usually on the rear door window, before entering the vehicle.
We recommend using the major Taxi-companies: Taxi 020 (Sverige Taxi), Taxi Stockholm, Taxi Kurir or international companies like Uber or Bolt.
Public Transportation
Stockholm Public Transport, SL, is responsible for buses, underground trains, commuter trains, trams, and certain ferry lines in Greater Stockholm.
A single ticket is valid for 75 minutes, costs 42 SEK, and can be purchased at SL’s customer service shops, through their app, or directly at the turnstiles and on buses using a credit card. It’s also possible to buy 24-hour, 72-hour, 7-day and 30-day tickets.

Language
Swedish is the official language. Most people, however, understand and speak English fluently.
Electric Current/Voltage
In Sweden, power plugs and sockets (outlets) of type F are used (see picture). The standard voltage is 230 V at a frequency of 50 Hz.
Language
Italian is the official language. English is widely spoken. French, German and Spanish are also spoken.
Climate
Naples enjoys a Mediterranean climate with long summers from mid-May to mid-October and with mild winters from December to February, which are separated by short autumn and spring seasons.

Currency, Banking Hours, Credit Cards
The currency of Italy is the Euro (€).
Banking hours for the public: Monday-Friday 08:00-13:30.
There are many Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) outside most branches of banks in all towns and in the main tourist resorts.
Hotels, large shops and restaurants normally accept credit cards and traveller’s cheques. Banknotes of major foreign currencies are also acceptable.
Rates of exchange are published daily in the local press and are broadcasted via the media.
Public Transportations

General Shopping Hours
Shop opening times vary depending on their type and location, though shops normally open at 10:00; some of them may be closed from 14:00 to 16:00.
Chemist Pharmacies/Drug Stores
Pharmacists and drugstores stay open during shopping hours. Late night chemists are listed in the daily papers.
Tipping
Because of the 10% service charge levied in hotels and restaurants, a tip is not mandatory, but it is always welcome. Taxi-drivers, porters, hairdressers etc., always appreciate a small tip.
Insurance
It is recommended that participants arrange insurance for medical expenses, loss and accidents occurring during the conference.
Electric Current/Voltage
Electricity in Italy conforms to the European standard of 220V to 230V, with a frequency of 50Hz. Wall outlets typically accommodate plugs with two or three round pins. (see below)
Many hotels in Naples have adapter plugs that can be loaned to guests; you could also purchase adapters at the airport or main railway stations.
