Best Student Paper Award

The ECC24 Best Student Paper award recognizes excellence in a paper presented at the European Control Conference whose primary author is a student at the time of submission.

Finalists for the ECC Best Student Paper Award

  • Tarek Bouazza, Tarek Hamel, Claude Samson: Observer Design for Visual-Inertial Estimation of Pose, Linear Velocity and Gravity Direction in Planar Environments (Student Finalist: Tarek Bouazza)
  • Luca Lebon, Francesco Lo Iudice, Claudio Altafini: On Controllability of Temporal Networks (Student Finalist: Luca Lebon)

Eligibility and requirements

In order to be eligible, the candidate must:

  • be the primary author of a paper accepted for presentation at ECC24
  • be a student (PhD, Master or Bachelor student) registered at an academic institution (at the time of submission)
  • present the paper at the conference

Application procedure

Nominations will open on 01 April 2024. To apply, nominators must upload the nomination application to PaperCept, on a letterhead of the nominator. The letter should also include a declaration that the nominee was enrolled as a student at the date of the paper submission. Each nominator can make an application for only one student. The nomination deadline is 15 April 2024.

Munich).
